List building made Easier – part 1

    How many times have you heard “- The money is in the List?”

    Probably endless of times…

    No doubt, you receive emails from many email marketers about a variety of things – Why? Because you are on their list.

    So, how do you effectively build a list? Where do you go to start building your own list? What do you need to do to begin list building? For many, the task is daunting and quite overwhelming. Yet the good news is, it is not as hard as many people think.

    For a start – Identify Your Niche

    Before you even think about starting on list building, you will need to identify your “niche.”

    What is a niche, you ask? An area of specialty, that is specific and targeted.

    To figure out your niche, decide on a topic that really interests you.
    Are you a pet lover? – You could build a list around pets.

    Do you enjoy motivational topics? – You could build a list around motivational speaking and books. Or perhaps you are a writer? – You could build a list around people interested in learning to become a writer.

    Or maybe your already have your niche. Your website is up and running but you want to build your List bigger and better

    The possibilities are literally endless. Today Im going to share one great effective way to grow your list even bigger.

    Create a Short Report

    With a special report – something that is useful to people – building your list is much easier. Your report should be focused on your niche, sharing thoughts, tips, and pointers that provide value to the reader.

    The report will establish your credibility as an “expert” in this area, helping your readers decide to continue to follow you and your journey in Internet Marketing. The report need not be long – 20 to 30 pages should be more than enough. Add in illustrations, charts, tables and such, to help make for an easier read.

    This will of course take some time and effort – but is well worth it. You don’t need to write the report from scratch. There are many ways – tips and tricks – you can use to create your report. If you don’t want to write your own report – use an PLR ebook or something similiar to offer.

Life Took a Turn…and I became an Internet Marketer

Today I would like to Introduce myself, tell my Story.
How I came to work with Internet marketing

Im A Swedish guy who moved from the Bitter cold of Sweden
to the Tropical Island Borneo – Malaysia with my Wife Catarina in the Spring 2009.

I’ve always been a Curious, adventurus guy and I love to Travel. I spent 3
month in Asia already back in 1991 and I have returned many times on vacation
since then until we finally moved here.

When I started out on the Internet in 2006 I was a Real Newbie!
I had no computer skills -There was no computer lessons in school, yeah I
know I was born back in the stone age… 😉

I have worked as a Electrician for almost 22 Years. Lacking Health forced me
to Stop working. From a Well paid occupation and good Financial Standard
I suddenly had zero!

Of course that made me Extremly Frustrated and I turned to Internet to find
something I could do to earn my living. I Googled “Earning Money online”

– One of the first things that came up was Traffic Exchanges.

I had no Idea what it was but it said I could Earn Money. I started
Surfing for credits – joined a lot of Programs and of course I maid zero bucks…

My Journey to Become an Internet Marketer has been a lot of “Trial – and Error”

To make a short story of it I want to give you a Couple of Advice
what you should Avoid to do:

* ONLY Surfing for Credits in Traffic Exchanges – It´s Time Consuming and has Little To do with Marketing. Surf some but if you are going to use Traffic Exchanges – buy credits
That way you can spend your time on more important things then just traffic. Last thing, only use them for 2 things, brand yourself and build YOUR list. nothing else.

* Join ALL New Hot Programs – Try them out a few weeks then say it´s not working
Join a new program, doing the same over and over again. (Program Jumpers)

* Spend All your day in chatrooms and Different Forums

I have tried All of the Above with little or no success… You should
concentrate on things that can take you towards your goal – being a Marketer.

What concerned me over the Years is that it can be hard to Grasp the
Real meaning of being a Marketer. To Succeed You need to Understand
what It takes to be a Marketer – choose the Right Tools – and Use them Right.

I want to give you a Over All Picture. My goal is to make Things
User friendly. Even If you are totally new in Internet Business
you should be able to follow these simple steps.

To many people try to do to many things them self and get stuck in the tech Jungle
Instead of concentrate on what to sell, how to sell it. Try to outsource things
trade things or rent cheap professionals. I know it fun to learn many things,
like design and some programming. Ok no harm to learn some basisc, but don’t
let the tech stuff Stop you. You’ll grow much faster when you do the more
important things and let other ppl do what they are good at.

I Teach basic stuff, how to set up your Blog, your Autoresponder –
and so on… When that is set You’ll grow much faster.

  • Brand You – Always Use your Name and Picture! Let people see who You are!
    Build up a Reputation of being a Serious Internet marketer by providing things
    people Need. Give them A Solution to their problems. Write Articles – Do Videos
    – Create your own Blog.

  • Build Your OWN list I can´t stress this enough. Either you own a program
    – you are an affiliate – your blogging or something else – you need your own list.

  • Use Social Media Use Facebook – Twitter – Networking Forums and comment
    on others blogs. One word of warning though – don´t Spam people!
    Don´t send people your affiliate link or such and just ask them to join your
    program. That will only put people off! Social Media is A Powerful Tool  – when
    you use it Right

  • Give – when you do – people will give back to you. Share your
    Experience – Your Tips and Tricks.

  • Set Up Your System – 3 Must Have Tools in Business – Autoresponder – Hosting
    and Tracking.
    Without them you will get No where. After that – Get a Squeeze page.

  • Stand By your Word – This combines with Brand You – Your Reputation
    Is depending on If you are a person to be trusted.

  • Mindset – Last but not less Important! Train yourself Daily to get the Mindset
    of a Entrepreneur

Why am I sharing All this with you?

I learnt the Hard Way – By Trial and Error – I want YOU to get a Better
Start then I did 😉

I Love helping people and find it very Inspiring to meet new people!
I think it´s important with Business relationships and to get to know the
person behind the computer screen 😉

I´m very Thankful to Those Serious Passionated Marketers I have met
who Shared their Experience and knowledge – they gave of their time

I have learnt a lot! Now it´s time for Payback.

I’m Not saying It’s going to be an Easy Ride. But it´s Possible – it can
be a Reality for you too!

For my part one of my challenges has been to learn English! When I started
out on Internet I was a struggling. Since moving to Borneo I improved a lot.

Lesson: Don´t give Up – Be Determined – Use a Daily schedule
to reach your goal! If you – just like in any occupation whether its Online or
Offline – Invest your Time – Money – and hard work –  you are on your way
to Success  – Start doing it Right from the Beginning!

List builder – A Useful Tool in Your Marketing Strategy or just a waste of time?

Do You use Viral Listbuilders – Safelists?

There are different opinions about List Builder, should you use them or not in your Marketing? Some people will tell you, that you won´t get any results because no one is reading your emails. Other says it´s a great tool and uses them a lot.

I would say it depends on How you are using the List Builder.

I see them as a part of my overall marketing strategy. I get good results from them.

I’m going to tell you why

Safelists had a great impact and you could grow your list very fast and sell tons of stuff with them when they where new (5 years ago). The effectiveness did gradually went down and a few years ago they was almost dead. Too many software’s, techniques and way too many bad safelist out there on the market. No one where reading the email you sent because they were sent to email boxes no one used. There was no reason to read them. Something needed to be done, some changes was necessary.

Why should people read, open and watch the pages you´re promoting?

The Answer is Credits. Transform the unresponsive Safelists to a responsive, money making machine – listbuilders. That´s just what happened. Now when a Safe List or List builder open they are credit based.
The focus is more on the actually Opt in page then the email it self. To be able to send emails you have to open email to get credits – or you can buy or Upgrade. It’s a simple solution, but it works like a charm.

Your challenge is still to stand out from the crowd, be unique. A lot of the emails sent is really Bad and goes directly into the drain. Your job is to make – or have someone doing it for you – “A kick butt Opt in page”. If you come up with Headlines that catch peoples attention you can get them to take action and sign up to your list. You have to consider the time you spend clicking on email to get credits. I usually try out a couple ones (yeah there are bunch to choose from) and upgrade in those a get best results from to save time.

As you can see, things have changed. It’s not impossible to get good results from a List builder. List builders might not be your only tool or even your main advertising tool, but they are a very good listbuilding source.

In my opinion you should not exclude it from your advertising.

My Article Marketing Strategy – How to Use Article Directories?

I´ve used Article writing a couple of years in my marketing and it gives me good results, driving traffic to my site. By placing articles in Article Directories you spread your visibility, brand you and get higher ranking in the search engines. All this ads up to make you more money in the longrun.

This is my article marketing strategy below. How to use Article Directories and do it right.

You need to know which Article Directories to use. There´s a bunch of Directories out there but I only use a few and I think that’s a good strategy to follow. Instead of spending a lot of time publish articles in every Directory, you should spend time writing new articles and publish them in the article directories you are using.

A few examples that I use and where I get good result is: Ezine article.com, Articlesbase.com and Go Articles. The best way to find them is on Google, search for Article Directories.

Here is what to do:

1. Set up an account in each Directory you want to submit your article in.

2. Post your articles. This is Very Important… Read through the guidelines before you start posting, to get your article approved. In some Directories it takes up to a week to get your article approved. – Take your time and do it right from the beginning – It will save you a lot of time. Instead of getting your article rejected because you havn´t followed the guidelines.. URL:s are usually only approved in the “resource box”.

3. You are allowed to have a “Resourcebox” – that is your Pitch – where you can advertise yourself. It is important to make it look professional. The purpose of this box is to get people to click on your links, because this is the way to get traffic to your website or blog. Create a call to action!

4. Choose the proper category for your article – use one that reflects your article best. Then it will be targeted for the right people. If you put it in wrong category your article may not be approved.

5. Take time to find good keywords. Keywords that rank you on the 1st page on Google on a Keyword people search for. Do this before you write the article. You also need tags or keywords that are related to the main keyword you use in the article. Fill out the “tagline”. This will make sure that your article show up when people search inside the Article Directories, on your blog and other places.

There are other places outside the Article Directories where you can post your article: Forums. Social bookmarking sites, like Digg, del.icio.us, propeller… Save time by using socialmarker.com. You have to use a shorter version of your article, a teaser.

Last and most important is of course, post all articles on your own blog. This will increase the number of visitors to your site and help you get a higher ranking in the search engines. Use your Blog Link, URL in all these places and you’ll start see some good results.

High quality articles with high quality keywords will get you customers that will rely on your expertise now and in the future… People buy from People they trust and like. Your articles might give you customers who buy from you year after year.

A Last Thing Don’t forget to Ping everything You are doing. (hint Google Pinging)
