Thank You Mark...

Yes... that is very true. HTML works very good and also good headlines. I use to stick in a Picture and name in all HTML ones.
Even if People don't sign up the 1st email... they see mu MUG each and ever time... Matter in fact 2 times... 1 in the email and
1 on the page you are using.

I Used the non creditbased before... But got very poor results... The 2 you mentioned is large ones... I might give them a shot.
I have a great page I use for keep track of all List's... when to send my emails... <a href="http://stefanbergs.com/listbuilders-schedule/" rel="nofollow">Have a look HERE!</a>

I agree with you Stefan - safelists are a great resource. I find that response rates are better when i take the time to prepare my messages in HTML format - when I'm able to. (not all safelists have this feature enabled)

I find that some of the non credit based safelists give me good results because I know that when I do get traffic from these sites - it was my headline and ad that drew attention to my site - I know the visitor was genuinely interested in my ad and not just clicking for safelist credits.
Credit based safelists give much more traffic - although the larger non credit based safe lists like Herculist and BWL can and do bear results
